What’s the difference between The Wall Street Journal and the Classroom Edition?

The Classroom Edition is a monthly, magazine-style newspaper featuring articles adapted from The Wall Street Journal and its sister publications. Its editorial content is tailored specifically to the interests of teenagers and high school students in a classroom setting.

The Wall Street Journal is a national daily business and general-interest newspaper, published Monday through Saturday, except national holidays.

Which one is better for my students?

The monthly Classroom Edition is developed specifically for high school teachers to use in class with their students. It focuses less on day-to-day news and financial markets, and more on emerging trends and controversies of interest to young people. It also features helpful articles on career and college planning and personal finance that are geared toward young readers. A Classroom Edition subscription includes a class set of 30 copies and comes with materials developed by educators specifically for the high school classroom.

The Wall Street Journal daily is a comprehensive newspaper featuring news of the day, as well as in-depth reports and features related to business, technology, health care, national and international affairs, financial markets and the global economy. The reading level and the nature of the content may suit advanced or high-achieving students in high school, and the breadth of the content allows students to explore a wide cross-section of issues.
